Following this work and prior to concrete placement the Contractor shall conduct electrical continuity testing to ensure that all reinforcement of each quay structure are electrically continuous. The testing can be conducted using a high quality Digital Volt Meter (DVM) in resistance mode with care being taken to ensure that that surface of the steel is clean of mill scale, flash rust, oil, grease, etc. so that the measurements are a true indication of the continuity. Where continuity is deemed insufficient, a resistance reading of greater than 2 ohms from either polarity, then additional tack welding and, where necessary the inclusion of lengths of 10mm diameter steel bars welding to rebar shall be incorporated to provide the necessary electrical continuity.

本工事を終えた後、且つ、コンクリート打設前に、請負者は電気の連続通電試験を行い、それぞれの埠頭構造物の全ての補強筋が電気的に連続するように確保するものとする。同試験は、高品質ディジタル電圧メーター（DVM）を使い、抵抗モードで行い、鋼材の表面からミルスケール、新たな錆、オイル、グリースなどを必ず清掃するように注意を払い、測定が正しく連続性を表示するようにする。何れかの極からの抵抗示度が2ｵｰﾑより大きく、連続性が不十分であると考えられる場合には、追加の仮付け溶接を行い、そして、必要な場合には、鉄筋に所要長さの10mm径の鋼棒を溶接して組込み、必要な電気連続性が得られるようにする。
